In Ukraine, the Association of Representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies stands in defense of the rights of women security officers.

The security problems and challenges that our state faced with the beginning of the Russian aggression were clearly demonstrated — modern Ukrainian women, on a par with men, defend our state, occupy positions that were previously available only to men.

Today, October 3, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetiana Kovalchuk held a working meeting with the OSCE delegation headed by the OSCE Special Representative of the Acting Head for Gender Affairs Ambassador Melanie Vervir.

On September 16-17, working meetings with the heads of the Main Departments of the National Police, the State Emergency Service and the Central Territorial Administration of the National Guard in Donetsk Oblast were held on the issues of gender integration with the participation of the Counsellor of the Minister of Internal Affairs on gender issues, Viktoria Arnautova. in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in particular the state of implementation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Plan for the implementation of the three National Plans in the field of gender equality.

With the participation of the adviser of the Minister of Internal Affairs on gender policy in the regional departments of the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Service of Ukraine and in the military unit 3057 of the National Guard of Ukraine, meetings were held on the implementation of the principle of equal rights and opportunities for women and men in everyday activities.

The Ukrainian Association of Law Enforcement Representatives (UAPPO) is a non-governmental organization that unites women and men from different law enforcement agencies.

On April 3-4, the training module “Equality between women and men at the center of security and defense sector reform” took place within the framework of the project “Champpions - 100”, launched in 2017 with the assistance of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine in cooperation with the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Today, November 28, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Tatiana Kovalchuk met with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, the Embassy of Norway in Ukraine and UN Women in Ukraine.
