24.5% of women work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Every day they put on uniforms, take turns to make our world a better, kinder and safer world. This was announced today by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Tetiana Kovalchuk

“Today, 24.5% of women work in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - more than 70,000 women daily ensure order, guarantee protection and provide high-quality state service. Of these, about 8,000 work in the State Emergency Service, 4,000 serve in the National Guard, and 11,000 women stand to protect the borders of Ukraine. Every woman has equal rights and opportunities to access education, to the choice of profession and to career development. Be always free in your choice and realize all your dreams!”, - said Tatiana Kovalchuk.

Inclusion of gender issues in state policy is a worldwide trend, not only Ukrainian.

The profession of diver was on the list of prohibited for women, but times are changing. Oksana Chekhmestrenko is the first female diver in the State Emergency Service. Oksana dives under the ice when it is minus on the street, carries up to 40 kilograms of equipment. In her 30s, a woman raises three children, fights three times a week, but most importantly - she has finally realized the dream of her life.

Maria Shkurat is a psychologist by specialty, so she was interested in diving into depth from a professional point of view. However, it captured her and now she is also a rescue diver.

Svetlana Kolomiets is the head of the department of organization of canine activities of the National Police, the only female head of the unit in the criminal police.

The SNS can be proud of being the first female rescuer from chemical infections. Julia Cherneva previously worked in a bank, and now she will collect spilled mercury and detect harmful substances in the air.

Another proof that women provide high-quality law enforcement service is Ekaterina Pavlichenko. The girl is the deputy head of the Department of Patrol Police of the NPU, the head of the Ukrainian Association of Representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies.

A woman in the service is always a delicate approach to solving any issues.
