Non-discrimination and barrier-free
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine works on ensuring and strict observance of human rights. One of the areas in the field of human rights protection is ensuring non-discrimination and barrier-free. Without taking into account the characteristics and needs of each person, it is impossible to succeed in the security sphere.
The formation of the policy of non-discrimination and barrier-free in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine refers to the functions of the Human Rights Monitoring Office.
The vision of the structural unit in the field of ensuring non-discrimination and barrier-free is to promote ideas and values that will allow everyone and everyone to receive quality services and information in different formats using technologies that take into account their needs and opportunities.
In the general context, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine participates in the formation of the policy of non-discrimination and barrier-free, which is primarily aimed at:
- raising awareness among employees of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on tools to prevent discrimination and the best world practices of ensuring respect for human diversity and tolerance;
- development of information barrier-free, in particular the broadcasting of information in accessible formats for all, ensuring the information availability of services and services of the bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
- the development of physical barrierlessness, in particular the access of persons with disabilities to the infrastructure of the bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
- development of security barriers, which has gained significant relevance in the context of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and includes the creation of conditions of protection for persons suffering from hostilities and providing rehabilitation for persons who have received disabilities in connection with military actions.
