In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs dated November 28, 2019 No. 1/37 “On conducting an annual assessment of work on ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities”, during December 2019, the structural units of the Ministry's apparatus and the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the GSC) conducted an evaluation of work on ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities.
The evaluation was carried out according to the Methodology for the Evaluation of Work on Ensuring the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Central Executive Bodies, whose activities are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of 11.04.2018 № 294, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on April 24, 2018 under No. 496/31948, by providing written answers to test tasks.
The results of the evaluation were summarized by a permanent working group formed by the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of 21.06.2018 No. 523 (from among representatives of the structural divisions of the Ministry, the GSC and public associations caring for the issues of persons with disabilities).
27 heads of structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the head of the GSC took part in the evaluation of the work on ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities.
According to the results of the evaluation, the overall average score for the Ministry was 15 (if, according to the results of the evaluation of the work, the total score is more than 25 points, ensuring the implementation of the rights of persons with disabilities is considered incomplete).
During last year's evaluation, this score stood at 18.1, indicating a positive trend in 2019.
As of December 13, 2019, according to the information provided, 908 people were employed in the structural units of the Ministry's apparatus involved in the evaluation, of which 37 people with disabilities (including 22 workers have a III disability group and 15 workers - II group), which in general corresponds to the legislative labor regulations places for employment of persons with disabilities (four percent of the average number of full-time employees of the accounting warehouse for the year).
In the apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this figure is 4.07 percent.
