The flagship project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Driving schools for people with disabilities” is implemented within the framework of the “Without Barriers” initiative, presented by First Lady Elena Zelenska and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ekaterina Pavlichenko.

The service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Dnipropetrovsk region issued the first two driver's licenses as part of the project.

Sofia and Vladimir successfully completed their studies and passed exams on a specialized car of the driving school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Each of them has its own special history, but despite the fact that due to injuries they have disorders of the musculoskeletal system, they are very active people. They do a lot of things every day that require mobility.

Sofia is a psychologist, has many plans and an active life position, helps others to understand their difficult situations and find peace of mind and balance. She is constantly in motion, dreams of mastering new horizons, further self-development and travel.

Vladimir can not imagine his life without a car. He had a driver's license and driving experience driving a truck. Unfortunately, a tragic accident forced him to move into a wheelchair. But this man is not weak. He set himself the goal — to smell the fuel again, hold the steering wheel in his hands and move freely on the roads of his native Kharkiv region and all of Ukraine.

The candidates for the driver carefully studied the route, prepared themselves, so the practical exam was excellent on the first attempt!
