The Ministry of Internal Affairs discussed the state of implementation of gender policy

Today, March 26, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Tatyana Kovalchuk met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetiana Kovalchuk summed up the results of the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine over the past year. At the same time, she emphasized the state of implementation of the National Action Plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace, Security” for the period up to 2020.

Tetiana Kovalchuk informed, in particular, that the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of December 12, 2017 No. 1019 approved the Action Plan of the Ministry on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace and Security” for the period up to 2020.

The Deputy Minister thanked the Government of Canada for the assistance provided by the Government of Canada in the development of the National Police of Ukraine (currently being implemented a project of Material and Technical Assistance for Police Training Assistance (PTAP) with a budget of CAD 6.5 million) and invited Canadian experts to join the working group Ministry of Internal Affairs on the implementation in the bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the mentioned UN Security Council Resolution.

The Canadian side assured its readiness to continue supporting the initiatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
