Tatiana Kovalchuk held a meeting with representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe

Today, December 4, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetiana Kovalchuk met with representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the OSCE in the field of combating trafficking in human beings were discussed.

Tatiana Kovalchuk invited foreign colleagues to participate in the planned information company of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to spread public awareness on the issues of human trafficking.

Also, the Deputy Minister introduced to the OSCE colleagues the new Head of the Department for Combating Crime Related to Trafficking in Persons and Illegal Migration of the National Police of Ukraine Sergey Panteleev, who shared his vision of the prospects for improving the efficiency of the Department's activities.

Tatiana Kovalchuk invited Lilia Hrudko, the head of the Human Security Program, to join the platform to develop a national policy in the field of combating human trafficking.

“We propose to join forces for further steps towards combating human trafficking and to create an appropriate chatbot so that the population is more aware of the field of trafficking in human beings,” the deputy minister said.
