Police seized “goods” worth about 400 thousand hryvnias from a member of the drug group
In addition to narcotic substances, police departments for the fight against drug crime and special officers of the KORD found a homemade explosive device, cartridges and gunpowder in a resident of Nikopol.
As police established, the attacker is a member of an organized criminal group that was engaged in the sale of drugs in the country. The suspect himself was responsible for the sale of drugs in the cities of Nikopol, Marganets and Pokrov. In addition, he is accused in the case of premeditated murder.
On June 14, during an authorized search at the place of actual residence of a 34-year-old man, police officers seized 300 grams of methamphetamine, 20 cannabis bushes, electronic scales and 20 thousand hryvnias obtained from drug sales. The man also kept a homemade explosive device in a plastic case, which included an RGD-5 grenade, one and a half kilograms of plastid, three electric detonators and metal bolts. In addition, in the house, police found a shutter to Mosin's rifle, half a kilogram of gunpowder and almost 200 rounds of ammunition.
The operation was carried out with the participation of investigation workers under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office with the strong support of special officers of the KORD.
All items removed are sent for examination. According to its results, the man will be reported on suspicion of part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives), part 1 of Art. 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues c) and Part 2 of Art. 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sowing or growing dreamy poppy or hemp).
Measures are being taken to establish other members of the criminal group and all the facts of the criminal activity of the attacker. Investigative actions continue.
