Alexander Gogilashvili: It is necessary to form a single register of institutions providing assistance to drug addicts

This was said by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oleksandr Gogilashvili during the conference “Consolidation of centers for assistance to dependents for solving acute professional issues”. The event was also attended by representatives of the Office for Ensuring the Formation of State Policy in the field of combating drug crime.

“Today, centers of assistance to addicts throughout Ukraine are one of the main participants in drug policy in Ukraine. Those institutions that perform their duties honestly and in accordance with the law will always be supported by the state. But in order to carry out the support of centers for assistance to dependents, it is necessary to form a unified register of such institutions, which will create favorable conditions for cooperation,” Oleksandr Gogilashvili noted.

In turn, the head of the Department for ensuring the formation of state policy in the field of combating drug crime Anna Kruglova stressed that the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs submitted proposals for the draft State Standard of Social Service of Socio-Psychological Rehabilitation of Persons with Addiction to Narcotic Drugs or Psychotropic Substances, which include steps to the settlement Existing problems in this area.

A number of decisions were made during the conference. In particular, the creation of the Public Union of legal entities engaged in socio-psychological rehabilitation in order to further implement the all-Ukrainian register of these institutions with representatives in each region. Development of general criteria, rules and standards within the framework of current legislation for centers of assistance to dependent persons. Adaptation to the realities of today a number of normative legal acts of Ukraine in order to protect the rights and freedoms of persons suffering from domestic violence from patients with drug addiction.
