We inform you about the publication on October 29, 2022 on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine of the draft order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “On Approval of Amendments to the Requirements for State License Plates of Vehicles” (hereinafter - the draft order).

The draft order was developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in accordance with paragraph 81 of the Procedure for state registration (re-registration), deregistration of cars, buses, as well as self-propelled vehicles designed on the chassis of cars, motorcycles of all types, brands and models, trailers, semi-trailers, motorcycles contributions, other vehicles and mopeds equivalent to them, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 07, 1998 No. 1388 (as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1371 of December 23, 2009).

The draft order proposes to establish letter combinations for license plates of vehicles that are re-registered on the basis of a contract of sale, executed in electronic form, using the means of the electronic driver's office of the functional subsystem of the Unified State Register of the Unified State Information System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, or if the contract is concluded through the Unified State Register State web portal of electronic services, including using the mobile application of the Diia Portal (Diia).”
