Zaporizhzhya police seized a large batch of cannabis, weapons and ammunition from a local resident
The cost of the withdrawn drug at the prices of the “black” market is about one million hryvnias. Also, law enforcement officers discovered a rifle and a combat body of an F-1 grenade with a detonator, which were sent for expert examination. The defendant faces up to seven years in prison.
Operatives of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes in Zaporizhzhya Region of the State Administrative Service of Ukraine, together with the investigator of the district police department under the procedural guidance of the Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office, conducted a number of sanctioned searches of the places of residence of the defendant in criminal proceedings.
So, on the territory of the household of a 42-year-old man in the village of Razumovka, Zaporizhzhya district, law enforcement officers seized more than 140 drug-containing plants in pots, 11 more hemp bushes, 2 meters high with signs of cultivation and irrigation, and more than 1.5 kg of hemp inflorescences.
At the prices of the “black market”, the value of the withdrawn is about one million hryvnias.
On the territory of the defendant's garage in Khortytsky district, law enforcement officers seized an object similar to a rifle and a combat body of an F-1 grenade with a detonator, which were sent for expert research to the Zaporizhzhya Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art. 310 (Sowing or growing dreamy poppy or hemp). The issue of opening criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art is resolved. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
After the examination, the issue of notifying the person about the suspicion and choosing a precautionary measure will be resolved.
The offender is threatened with imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
At present, measures are being carried out to establish criminal connections of the specified person, possible channels of distribution of the drug. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
