During the week, police officers in Transcarpathia recorded 17 more cases of falsification of COVID documents
Transcarpathian police officers opened another 17 criminal proceedings for the use of forged documents relating to vaccination certificates and PCR testing results. For such a crime, the court issued another sentence.
Transcarpathian police officers actively detect and register all facts of forgery and use of fake COVID documents. Thus, as of October 27 of this year, 98 criminal cases are pending by Transcarpathian police investigators. In the last 7 days alone, 17 such facts have been recorded. During this period, 3 criminal proceedings were sent to the court.
In addition, in one of the cases that was sent to court earlier, the court has already passed a verdict. We are talking about a resident of the village Synevyr, in Mizhhirshchyna. While at the international checkpoint in the city of Chop, the man presented the border guard with a vaccination certificate with obvious signs of forgery, allegedly issued by doctors of a hospital in the neighboring region. In this way, the offender aimed to avoid mandatory self-isolation by returning home.
The man admitted his guilt. For the use of a knowingly forged document qualifying part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the court imposed a penalty in the form of a fine to a resident of Mizhgiri region.
