Aeromedical evacuation in Lviv region resumed: police helicopter delivered three-month-old baby to hospital
As part of the Aeromedical Evacuation Project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a police helicopter Airbus Helicopters H-145 delivered a three-month-old baby with convulsive syndrome to a medical facility.
The policemen together with the doctors of the Lviv Regional Emergency Medical Center delivered the child to the Lviv Children's Hospital by air from the Kamenka-Buzka Central District Hospital. There they will diagnose and treat her. This is the tenth evacuation with the help of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aviation, which took place in Lviv region.
As a reminder, the launch of the aeromedical evacuation in Lviv region took place on April 1, 2021. Work resumed in October. Now doctors of Lviv region can again use aeromedical evacuation of patients for emergency care. A helicopter of the National Police Airbus Helicopters H-145 is on duty around the clock.
As you know, the launch of the project in the Kyiv region took place on August 30. During this time, 15 evacuation flights of patients were carried out, in particular, for the first time organs from one donor were transported from Vinnitsa for transplantation to four different patients.
In addition, in one day in the Kiev region, the Airbus Helicopters H-145 police helicopter performed three flights of evacuation of serious patients to medical institutions at once.
