In Odessa, law enforcement officers exposed the scheme of counterfeiting COVID certificates

The issuance of falsified documents confirming vaccination against coronavirus was carried out by a doctor and a nurse of one of the local clinics. The women were helped by an acquaintance who acted as an intermediary between them and clients.

It was established that the man was looking for people who do not want to be vaccinated, but are willing to pay money for faking the status of the vaccinated. He transferred citizens' data to familiar medical workers, and they entered into the electronic register information about the allegedly vaccinated against COVID-19 to people who were not actually vaccinated. The certificate could later be pulled up in the ACTION app or obtained directly from an intermediary. It cost two thousand hryvnias to conduct such a transaction.

Searches sanctioned by the Suvorov District Court of the city of Odessa were carried out at the places of residence and work of accomplices, during which mobile phones with correspondence with customers, bank cards received from them for illegal actions, office equipment and medical documentation with records of pseudo vape were carried out. vaccination, including fake certificates, and other material evidence of illegal activity.

The events were carried out by employees of the Department of Combating Cybercrime in the Odessa region of the DKP NPU together with the investigators of the police department No. 3 of the Odessa District Police Department No. 1 and the SBU under the procedural leadership of the Suvorov District Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Affairs.

Currently, in the framework of the proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Article 354 (Bribery of an employee of an enterprise, institution or organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the full range of persons involved in this offense is being clarified.

Note: the current legislation establishes responsibility both for those who enter knowingly false information in the medical documentation for preventive vaccinations, and for those who use knowingly forged documents.
