Police exposed an employee of the drug department of one of the district hospitals of Vinnitsa on the sale of medical methadone
Operatives of the territorial department for combating drug crime together with colleagues of the police of Vinnytsia region exposed the illegal activity of the woman. The woman worked as a paramedic for replacement supportive therapy in the narcological department of the hospital. Through a drug-addicted intermediary, she sold medical methadone pills.
For several months, investigators documented the criminal activities of a 42-year-old woman and her 43-year-old previously convicted accomplice. Having collected the necessary evidence base, the police detained the man during the next sale of a narcotic drug. During an authorized search of his place of residence, police seized methadone tablets.
Later, during an authorized search in the paramedic's office, investigators seized permits for the issuance of drug-containing drugs and money received by the woman from the illegal sale of the drug.
The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators have already announced him of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years with confiscation of property. It is placed against a temporary holding isolator.
In the actions of the medical worker, signs of the crime provided for in Part 2 of Art. 320 (Violation of the established rules for the circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, for which imprisonment is provided for up to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years.
Pre-trial investigation is carried out under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
