During the inspection, the store employee provided the police with a certificate of a negative PCR test result, which had signs of forgery. It was found that a fake document was ordered by a 48-year-old woman on the Internet. The maximum penalty for this offense is up to two years of restriction of liberty.

Police officers of Toretsk as part of the foot patrol carried out a check of quarantine requirements by business entities. In one of the stores, the seller provided a certificate in her name about a negative PCR test for verification.

During the inspection, signatures and seals were found that were printed and not put by the persons who issued the certificate, so the police had doubts about the validity of the document provided.

During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers established that the woman ordered a fake on the Internet and intended to use it. Information about the inconsistency of the document was confirmed as a result of the examination.

The woman was informed by the police under the procedural guidance of the Bakhmut District Prosecutor's Office about the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 358 (use of a knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 850 hryvnias, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to two years.

In total, 18 criminal proceedings have been opened in Donetsk region during the pandemic on the facts of falsification of PCR tests and COVID certificates, of which eight have already been sent to court.
