Police of Lviv region opened criminal proceedings for the use of fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates
In both cases, citizens — a 31-year-old resident of the Ternopil region and a resident of Vinnitsa aged 37, presented international certificates with signs of forgery to employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine at the crossing points of the state border of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland.
Thus, on October 30, investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment - restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for the same term.
On November 1, the officers of the investigation sector of the Yavorivskyi district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment - a fine of up to fifty minimum taxable incomes of citizens or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to two years.
Pre-trial investigations are being conducted.
