Two residents of Ternopil region will be tried in Lviv region for using fake COVID vaccination certificates

In addition, since the beginning of the week, police in Lviv region have opened four more criminal proceedings based on these facts, one person was informed of suspicion of using a deliberately forged document.

In particular, a 23-year-old resident of the Ternopil region, crossing the border through the checkpoint “Rava-Ruska-Grebene”, presented a fake certificate. Also, a fake certificate was found at the international airport “Lviv” named after Danylo Halytskyi in a 49-year-old resident of Ternopil.

Investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 informed the man about the suspicion of committing a criminal offense stipulated in Part 1 of Article 358 and Part 4 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 - to a woman using a deliberately forged document. Pre-trial investigations are completed, the indictments are directed to the court.

Also, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Yavorivsky district department reported a suspicion to a 35-year-old resident of Lviv region, who presented a fake certificate during the crossing of the checkpoint “Shegyny - Medic”.

In addition, the investigators of the Lviv region police opened another criminal proceeding under Part 4 of Article 358 (Use of a knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the investigators - three more criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, committed repeatedly or by prior conspiracy of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In general, since the beginning of the year, police investigators of Lviv region have registered more than 200 criminal proceedings on the facts of using fake vaccination certificates, of which more than 50 indictments have been sent to court.

And the investigators of the Lviv region police on the facts of falsification of vaccination certificates, COVID certificates, international certificates of vaccination, as well as the results of PCR tests opened 109 criminal proceedings, 103 of them under Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, 5 — according to Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and 1 — under Art. 361 (Unauthorized interference in the operation of electronic computers (computers), automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Suspicion has been reported to 24 people. In 17 criminal proceedings, pre-trial investigations have been completed, indictments are directed to the court.

Law enforcers warn: do not buy or fake certificates of vaccination against coronavirus disease, be responsible.
