92% of criminal proceedings related to vaccination certificates relate to falsification of these documents. The head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko informed about this on the air of the TV channel “1+1”.

“Today we have 870 criminal proceedings (concerning Covid certificates), 92% of these proceedings relate to falsification of documents. Then there are frauds, unauthorized interference in electronic and computer networks and official counterfeiting,” said Igor Klymenko.

According to him, more than 70 proceedings concern health workers involved in falsification of vaccination documents. According to the Law, this offense is provided for up to 5 years in prison.

“Another category of violators are tour operators who offer packages already with a COVID certificate,” the head of the National Police said.

Also, Igor Klymenko told about which services can check the availability of certificates of vaccination against coronavirus infection in Ukrainians.

“This is the service of the Ministry of Health, sanitary hospitals, and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, these are the conductors directly, if it concerns railway transport,” he said.

The police themselves, Igor Klimenko added, can resort to selective verification of certificates. Drivers of public transport cannot check the availability of certificates, but are obliged to warn passengers about the need to check and the availability of vaccination documents. In the shopping center, the certificates are checked by the staff of the establishments.

As for fake vaccination certificates, four thousand police officers use special software on tablets to check the QR codes of each certificate.
