Two victims in an accident in Lviv region were evacuated by police helicopter to medical facilities
Once again, specialists of the Aviation Support Center of the National Police of Ukraine and the Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine worked together.
The accident occurred on October 26 at 22:50 on the road “Lviv-Sambir-Uzhgorod” near the city of Turka, Sambir district. As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the MAN car, a 52-year-old from Lviv, failed to drive, drove off the carriageway and overturned. As a result of the accident, the truck driver and his passenger, a 22-year-old resident of one of the cities of Lviv district, received bodily injuries.
A 52-year-old driver with a traumatic brain injury and heart rhythm disturbance was taken by the Air Ministry Airbus Helicopters H-145 helicopter to one of the hospitals in Drohobych.
After that, the helicopter returned for another victim, a 22-year-old passenger, who was taken to the Lviv City Emergency Medical Hospital with a traumatic brain injury and abdominal injury.
It should be recalled that the aeromedical evacuation is carried out within the framework of the project, which is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
