Law enforcers of Transcarpathia exposed a medical worker and her accomplice to fraud with COVID certificates
Police investigators of the Main Directorate of the region reported on suspicion of fraud committed by the health worker and her accomplice, who illegally issued international vaccination certificates to clients. Currently, the issue of electing the defendants a precautionary measure is being resolved.
Another scheme for illegal sale of COVID-19 vaccination certificates was exposed by Transcarpathian law enforcement officers.
During the pre-trial investigation, the investigators of the Main Directorate of Police of the region, under the prompt support of SBU officers, found that a 30-year-old infectious disease doctor of the Public Health Center, in preliminary collusion with a local entrepreneur, established a scheme for the sale of international certificates of vaccination to the unvaccinated customers.
In connection with professional activities, one of the suspects had an unhindered opportunity to produce such documents. Her accomplice was engaged in finding clients, receiving money from them and handing them ready-made vaccination certificates.
It is known that the doctor used the official computer of the medical institution to carry out illegal activities. On all Covid documents, the defendant put her own seals and personal signature. In addition, the doctor entered the data of actually unvaccinated patients into the electronic health system.
Women estimated their illegal services at 3500 hryvnias for one document.
At their place of work yesterday, February 1, investigators of the Transcarpathian police, together with SBU staff and under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office, conducted court-sanctioned searches.
Among the seized are mobile phones with correspondence and copies of customer documents.
Having gathered enough evidence, the investigators informed the two women about the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation into the case is ongoing.
