9 residents of different regions will be tried in Lviv region for forgery and use of fake COVID certificates
Only since the beginning of this week, investigators and investigators of the Lviv region police have opened another 29 criminal proceedings on such facts.
Thus, a fake vaccination certificate was found in a 29-year-old resident of the Ternopil region during her crossing of the checkpoint “Shegini-Medic”. The investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Yavorivsky district police department informed her about the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 4 of Article 358 (Use of a knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment - restriction of freedom for a period of up to two years. The pre-trial investigation is completed, the indictment is directed to the court.
In addition, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department reported on suspicion of a 25-year-old resident of the Volyn region for committing offenses stipulated in Part 1 and Part 4 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) and Part 1 of Article 369 (Offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefits to an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for up to four years. The pre-trial investigation is completed, the indictment is directed to the court.
In total, during this week, police investigators of Lviv region opened 18 criminal proceedings on the facts of forgery and use of fake COVID certificates under Part 1 and Part 4 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) Crimes According to the Code of Ukraine, 6 persons were declared under suspicion. In 5 criminal proceedings, pre-trial investigations are completed, indictments are directed to the court.
In addition, during this period, investigators of territorial units of the police of Lviv region opened 11 criminal proceedings on the facts of falsification of vaccination certificates, COVID certificates, international certificates on vaccination, results of PCR tests, of which 9 - according to Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) and 2 - per Art. 369 (Offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefits to an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspicion was reported to 4 people. In 4 proceedings, the pre-trial investigation is completed, the indictments are directed to the court.
Law enforcers once again urge: do not fake and do not buy fake vaccination certificates, be responsible!
