Transcarpathian police investigate damage to journalist's cars
Due to the fact of intentional damage to vehicles belonging to a resident of Uzhgorod region, investigators opened criminal proceedings. Police are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
Today, at about 5:20pm, the 102" line received a report of a car on fire on one of the streets on the outskirts of Uzhgorod.
Firefighters and the police investigative and operational team arrived at the specified address. During the inspection of the scene, it was found that the fire completely damaged the Subaru Forester car and partially the Volkswagen Beetle car, which was parked nearby.
Both vehicles were used by a resident of Uzhgorod region, who is engaged in journalistic activities.
The police are currently investigating all the circumstances of the incident. According to the specified fact, the investigators entered the information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional destruction or damage to someone else's property, by arson).
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
