In two weeks, a police helicopter saved 11 lives in Lviv region, including two babies and a pregnant woman

As of October 4, within the framework of the aeromedical evacuation project, which is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the helicopter H-145 of the National Police of Ukraine has already carried out 11 rescue missions.

Patients with severe injuries and other critical life-threatening conditions were delivered to the hospitals of the regional center by helicopter. The smallest patient, who was rescued thanks to the air transport of the National Police of Ukraine, is 3 months old, the oldest is 66 years old.

Thus, on October 4, a 3-month-old baby with convulsions and loss of consciousness took place from the city of Kamenka-Buzka to Lviv. The next “passenger” was a 9-month-old child with a congenital heart defect, who on October 7 was taken in serious condition to the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kiev. On October 10, air transport transported a 66-year-old patient with acute heart failure from the city of Turka to Lviv hospital.

Eight evacuations were carried out at once last week. Three of them took place on October 11 - a 39-year-old resident of the city of Turk with acute pancreatitis, a 50-year-old resident of the city of Busk with acute myocardial infarction and a 65-year-old resident of the Zolochiv district with a compression fracture of the spine were brought to the emergency medical hospital of the city of Lviv fall from a height.

The very next day, a 58-year-old man with an acute myocardial infarction was brought from the city of Chervonograd to Lviv, and on October 13, a 63-year-old resident of Brody with a cerebral coma.

The weekend did not pass without medical evacuation. On Saturday, October 16, two medical evacuations were carried out — a 65-year-old resident of Busky district with a stroke was urgently delivered to Lviv, as well as a 36-year-old pregnant woman, a resident of Borislav, in whom premature labor began.

Yesterday, a police helicopter urgently delivered an 11-year-old patient who was in a brain coma to the Lviv ambulance hospital.

The aeromedical evacuation is carried out by the joint efforts of specialists of the Aviation Support Center of the National Police of Ukraine and the Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine on the Airbus Helicopters H-145 police helicopter, which is on 24-hour duty.

Victims of accidents, patients with strokes, heart attacks and other critical conditions are transported to medical institutions by air transport. In addition, organs for transplantation will be transported on the helipad.
