Volyn police announced suspicion of forgery and use of Covid certificates to two residents of Ternopil region

Fictitious documents were presented by citizens during the crossing of the state border at the Ustylug checkpoint.

COVID certificates with signs of forgery were discovered by border guards at the end of last month at the Ustylug checkpoint in the Volodymyr-Volyn district. The police seized the documents, on this fact they started criminal proceedings under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

During the inspection, it turned out that citizens, 40-year-old and 22-year-old residents of the Ternopil region, produced fictitious documents on their own, they did not pass vaccination procedures, because there is no information about this in the register.

Yesterday they were notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 and Part 4 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is about forging documents and using a knowingly forged document. For a committed offense, offenders face up to two years of restriction of liberty.
