In Odessa port, law enforcement officers found almost 60 kg of cocaine worth 10 million US dollars
According to operational data, this is the second batch of drugs that were to be received by detained participants of the world-famous criminal organization “Ndrangheta”.
Recall that three organizers of drug trafficking were detained on August 9 during an attempt to remove a batch of drugs from the port “Pivdenny”. Then the employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Odessa region of the National Police, the regional department of the SBU, the border service and the prosecutor's office of the Odessa region seized more than 60 kg of cocaine. These drugs arrived in a container of bananas from the Republic of Ecuador. The attackers planned to transfer a batch of drugs to the countries of the European Union.
Yesterday, August 15, law enforcement officers seized another 60 kg of cocaine. The drugs were hidden in the cavities of the container. According to operational data, this is the second batch of drugs that the organizers of drug trafficking planned to receive. The value of the seized goods reaches 10 million US dollars.
Investigative actions are currently underway. The circle of all persons involved in drug trafficking is established.
