In Kryvyi Rih, the police detained a 43-year-old man for the production of fake COVID certificates

The offender sold international Covid certificates without vaccination for 1200 hryvnias.

On November 16, the authorized officers of the police department No. 3 (Pokrovske) on one of the streets of the district detained a man while handing a fake document to a client.

On the same day, law enforcement officers conducted urgent investigative actions in the garage of the defendant, where the cripple directly produced COVID certificates using ready-made forms and fake seals of one of the medical institutions.

As a result, the police seized certificates and seals with obvious signs of forgery, a mobile phone and a flash drive with ready-made forms.

As law enforcement officials found out, the man, having created an ad on one of the trading platforms on the Internet, sold fake certificates within a month.

The offender was a previously convicted local resident. The issue of notifying the man of suspicion and choosing a precautionary measure is currently being resolved.

On this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps).

During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers will identify the alleged accomplices of the defendant. The pre-trial investigation continues.
