In Kryvyi Rih, police seized from a local resident narcotic and psychotropic substances worth 2.5 million hryvnias
From the premises of the rented apartment, law enforcement officers seized almost 9 kg of cannabis and more than a kilogram of synthetic drugs “methamphetamine” and “methadone”.
On July 7, officers of the Criminal Police Department conducted an authorized search in an apartment located in the Saksagansky district of the city. Kryvyi Rih. As it turned out, the 28-year-old attacker used the premises as a kind of warehouse, where he stored and packaged drugs, which he then sent for further sale throughout Ukraine.
The removed substances are sent for expert research. At the prices of the “black market”, their value is more than 2.5 million hryvnias.
According to this fact, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues). The attacker is detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of handing him a notice of suspicion and choosing a precautionary measure is being resolved.
Currently, law enforcement officials are investigating the origin of the seized substances and identifying other persons involved in narcotics.
