Today, three more communities in Zaporizhzhya region joined the “Safety Educator” project and signed the relevant memoranda. Within the framework of the event, the participants agreed that a competition for vacant positions of security specialist in the educational environment will be announced in the near future.

Specialists will be assigned to specific facilities where they will take care of a wide range of safety issues. A “safety educator” is a person who is to become a communicator in the community between an educational institution and law enforcement agencies to protect students, parents and teachers. It is planned that the security specialist will contribute to the early detection and elimination of negative phenomena in the institution, cooperate with police, rescuers, local and parental authorities.

“We created this project to identify negative risks, harmful phenomena and prevent the commission of offenses in the educational environment. It is necessary to teach children to behave correctly in extreme situations, to talk about the rules of life safety. It is important that children can feel protected every day,” said the head of the Department of Juvenile Prevention of the National Police of Ukraine Vasyl Bohdan.

Recall that yesterday in Kharkiv the pilot project “Educator of Safety” was launched. To create a safe educational environment in the region, the Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership was signed today by the heads of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast (Region), the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and representatives of the Donetsk settlement territorial community.
