Investigators of the Kiev police reported the suspicion of two people who beat the representative of the Internet publication
The violators first humiliated and then inflicted bodily harm on the photojournalist. For their actions, they face up to five years in prison.
Recall: Yesterday, during a rally on Bankova Street, unknown people beat up a media representative.
The attackers were Lviv residents, born in 2001 and 2004, who were participants in the action. Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 345-1 (Threat or violence against a journalist) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigators under the procedural leadership of the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office informed the defendants about the suspicion of committing a crime.
The police went to court with requests to choose preventive measures for them. For the committed acts, the defendants face up to five years in prison. Also, police officers establish the role of other participants in the committed offense.
In addition, we emphasize: an apology for the commission of a crime does not exempt offenders from responsibility.
Repentance, material compensation for the costs of treatment of a journalist may be taken into account by the court at the time of sentencing. We also remind you that membership in any public organizations or political organizations does not exempt from liability for committing an offense.
