Investigators of the National Police documented the fact of appropriation of UAH 20 million by a state-owned enterprise
During the investigative actions, it was established that the company's funds were appropriated due to the conclusion of contracts for the construction and backfilling of reservoirs of the Kiev region at inflated prices.
Investigators of the Corruption Crimes Investigation Department of the Civil Service of the National Police of Ukraine carry out a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings initiated under Part 5 of Art. 191 (Appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The police established the fact of appropriation of funds in a particularly large size of the state-owned enterprise, which is subordinated to the Dezhrybagency of Ukraine.
It was found that the funds of the company were appropriated through the conclusion of contracts for the construction and sealing of water bodies of the Kyiv region, as well as transfer to the use of the vessel at inflated prices. At the same time, these works were not performed. The estimated amount of damage caused to the state-owned enterprise is UAH 20 million.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches in office premises on the territory of Kiev and Odessa regions, as well as at the place of residence of persons who may be involved in the commission of these crimes. Police seized documents of evidential value, mobile phones and computer equipment containing information necessary for the investigation.
Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, operational support - employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.
