The project “Community Police Officer” has already covered 19 regions of the country — Arsen Avakov
Today it is exactly two years since the project “Community Police Officer” started. In 279 territorial communities with a population of almost 3.5 million people, 442 police officers serve. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
“The level of trust in police ATGs is 70%! Currently, 199 more officers are undergoing training. Thanks for the service! Thank you for your support!”, - said Arsen Avakov.
Currently, the project operates in the following areas: Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Lviv, Rivne, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Kyiv Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy and Nikolaev.
By the end of 2022, it is planned to serve about 9 million rural and rural population with the involvement of 1386 law enforcement officers.
The project “Community Police Officer” is a new level of communication and police service, the so-called community policing. Its goal is to provide each terrocommunity with a police officer. Who is a community police officer? He is a police officer who is focused on solving the security problems of the community where he serves. It is accessible to the population because it is constantly near people.
