Law enforcers drew up more than 109 thousand administrative protocols due to violation of quarantine rules
Since the introduction of quarantine restrictions in Ukraine (since March 2020), law enforcement officers have compiled 109,130 administrative protocols under the article “Violation of the rules on quarantine of people” of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses.
In particular, we are talking about more than 19 thousand protocols on employees of enterprises, institutions, organizations and other persons, 14 thousand protocols on drivers of vehicles, 9 868 on managers of commercial establishments and catering establishments.
In addition, 4,770 protocols were drawn up regarding managers of entertainment establishments, facilities or catering establishments working after 22:00 hours and more than 3 thousand regarding managers of enterprises, institutions and organizations.
Also, 3,553 administrative protocols were issued for violation of the rules of self-isolation.
In total, 2,224 criminal offenses related to quarantine measures and violation of sanitary rules and norms for the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning were entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations.
Liability in the form of a fine is provided for violation of quarantine rules. For citizens — in the amount of from one to two thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from 17 000 to 34 000 UAH), for officials — from two to ten thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from 34 000 to 170 000 UAH).
The absence of a protective mask in a public place entails the imposition of a fine of ten to fifteen non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from 170 to 255 UAH).
Currently, more than 16,000 law enforcement officers are involved in measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus and strengthen public safety and order in the state.
