Police of Poltava region referred criminal proceedings to court on the fact of falsification of COVID certificate
In October of this year, the Poltava police received information about the probable forgery of a Covid certificate issued by one of the family doctors of the Lubny region.
According to this fact, the information is included in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 1 of Article 358 (Forgery of Documents) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, information about the forgery of the certificate was confirmed. In particular, it was established that the doctor entered into the “Electronic Health System” information about the vaccination of a citizen against Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), but in fact the latter did not receive such a vaccination.
At the time of the inquiry of the Poltava police, the pre-trial investigation was completed. Criminal proceedings with an indictment are sent to the Lubensky City District Court.
If proven guilty by the court, a man faces a fine of up to one thousand of the minimum taxable income of citizens or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to two years.
