This was announced by the First Deputy Chief of the Department of Patrol Police of Ukraine Oleksiy Biloshitsky today, October 18, on the air of the program “Breakfast with 1+1”.

Oleksiy Biloshitsky informed that the National Police together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs have developed and started integrating the appropriate software on the tablets of police officers to quickly check certificates from “Action” or by scanning a paper version of it.

“Employees of the State Service of Ukraine, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the field, as well as employees of the Patrol Police of Ukraine will check the reliability of certificates on vaccination of citizens from October 21. The inspection will be carried out in places of large crowds of people, where there may be spread of the disease — during transportation, visits to establishments, markets, trading platforms,” said the Deputy Head of the Department of Patrol Police of Ukraine.

Alexey Beloshitsky stressed that paper vaccination certificates must contain details - information about the type of vaccination, the number of doses of vaccination, the signature of the doctor and the seal of the official health institution.

“All data on vaccination of citizens are already in the register, which is also connected to international databases. The information will be checked very carefully. Employees who will check the vaccination certificates must verify the authenticity of the certificate, because there are known cases of their forgery,” he said.

For the production and sale of fake medical records, offenders may face penalties ranging from a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias to 5 years in prison. For the use of fake certificates or certificates there is a penalty - from a fine of up to 850 hryvnias to restriction of freedom for a period of up to 2 years.

“People who order and buy fake vaccination certificates, in case of detection of a fake document and attempt to use it, will be held liable for violation of quarantine conditions. This can be a fine from 17 to 34 thousand hryvnias. In the event that it is proved that a person with a coronavirus infection has spread the disease, he can be brought to criminal responsibility,” Oleksiy Beloshitsky added.

For reference: As of today, four more regions are in the red zone — Zaporizhia, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kherson. There is a ban on the work of cafes, restaurants, cinemas, theaters, rings and fitness centers. Restrictions do not apply to establishments in which 100% of employees and visitors are fully vaccinated against Сovid-19. From October 21, residents of the “red zone” will not be able to get to other regions by interregional transport without documents on a full course of vaccination, a negative PCR test or an express test for Сovid-19.
