The police of the Kiev region exposed the underground center for the production of fake Sovid certificates and state documents
The 50-year-old resident of the village Sofiivska Borshchahivka, together with 46 and 53-year-old residents of Kiev, organized a firm that carried out falsification of documents to eliminate obstacles when crossing the state border of Ukraine. The institution was addressed by both citizens of Ukraine and foreigners.
The illegal activities of the firm were exposed by employees of the Department of Migration Police of Kyiv Region under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
In the offices and places of residence of the defendants, law enforcement officers conducted 5 sanctioned searches and seized 420 clichés of seals of various enterprises, institutions and organizations, 2373 incomplete forms of enterprises, institutions and organizations, 25 fake certificates of COVID vaccination, fake temporary permits residence of foreigners, computer equipment, including equipment for the production of forged documents, flash drives, plastic cards for the production of forged documents, hunting carbine, devices for firing rubber bullets, cartridges, mobile phones, cards of various operators.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine), part 3 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For the committed acts, the defendants are threatened with imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with the confiscation of property.
Currently, law enforcement officers are checking the involvement of other employees of the firm in participating in criminal schemes.
