Police officers exposed the equation that acquired vaccination certificates through the messenger
Now an 18-year-old resident of the regional center for using knowingly forged documents faces up to two years of restriction of liberty.
Passenger car “Seat Ibiza”, parked in violation of traffic rules, was discovered on the street of the Pushkin regional center by the crew of the mobile response team to the facts of domestic violence at 21:30 yesterday, October 29.
The inspectors decided to point out the violation to the driver and approached the car, in which there were people. When they saw the police, they were stunned. Police officers suspected that cars may be prohibited for circulation. The driver, an 18-year-old resident of Rivne, was also nervous during communication with law enforcement. During a superficial check on the basis of Article 34 of the Law “On the National Police” in the cabin, the police found certificates of vaccination against COVID-19, but the QR code on the documents was not read.
An investigative task force was immediately called to the scene, which examined and seized 13 certificates with signs of forgery.
To the police Equator explained that he ordered “documents” for himself and friends through the messenger “Telegram”. The cost of each is one thousand hryvnias. Information was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations on the fact of using knowingly forged documents under Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings, investigators, together with criminal investigation officers of Rivne RUP and cyber police carry out all necessary investigative and investigative measures to establish an accurate portal for the sale of certificates and IP addresses.
