Police of Dnipropetrovsk region opened four criminal proceedings on the facts of counterfeiting COVID certificates
Certificates of vaccination against COVID — 19 with signs of forgery were found in the city. Kamianske, Zheltyy Vody and Volnogorsk.
At the request of the police officer to provide Covid certificates, three citizens provided documents that have signs of forgery.
Also, a 20-year-old resident of Volnogorsk contacted the police, who ordered a Covid-certificate via the Internet. In order to check the illegal activity of the site, the man turned to law enforcement.
According to all the facts, the police opened criminal proceedings under Art. 358 (forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided for by the sanction of the article is the restriction of freedom for a period of up to two years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers establish persons involved in forgery of certificates.
