Police of Bukovyna sent to court an indictment against a woman from Chernivtsi who forged and sold fake COVID certificates
Employees of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Chernivtsi region, together with SBU employees under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office, exposed a woman who sold fake COVID certificates for the unhindered crossing of the state border.
During the pre-trial investigation, the police found out that a 44-year-old resident of the regional center, established a whole scheme of illegal actions aimed at enriching from the sale of a knowingly forged certificate of COVID safety.
The woman was engaged in consulting services on the necessary documents for travel to the countries of the European Union and knew about the demand for an international certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 among those who want to cross the state border without hindrance.
Covid certificate customers did not undergo any laboratory tests and vaccination procedures, but only provided their data for documentation. The cost of such a document was 250 euros. During the investigative measures, law enforcement officers proved the direct involvement of the Chernivka in the specified crime.
Police investigators completed the pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sent to the court the materials of the prosecution proceedings volume.
