Greenhouses with elite hemp and cannabis worth 11 million hryvnias were discovered by Nikolaev police
Illegal cultivation of drug-containing plants was carried out by a resident of the village. Catalina. The attacker equipped large greenhouses in which the police found about 60 kg of cannabis and more than 400 remains of cannabis plants. Currently, the issue of detention of the defendant is being resolved in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
On August 17, employees of the Department for Combating Narcotics Crime in the Nikolaev area of the DBN NPU, together with investigators and operatives of the police department №7 of the Nikolaev district department, as well as employees of the border service “Odessa”, held a 46-year-old assailant previously convicted for robbery a sanctioned search c.
During the search, law enforcement officers found two specially equipped greenhouses on the private territory of the man. In one, the owner dried elite hemp, and in the second there were already remnants of the harvested drug crop.
Ready-to-use cannabis with a total weight of about 58 kg and 410 remains of cannabis plants were seized by the police and sent for examination. The cost of the “black morning” withdrawn at prices is about 11 million hryvnias.
Currently, the investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Art. 310 (Sowing or growing a dreamy poppy or hemp), and for part 2 of Art. 309 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanctions of these articles is up to seven years in prison.
The police establish possible channels for the sale of cannabis by the defendant, as well as a circle of persons involved in the illegal cultivation of drug plants, probable customers and customers. Based on the results of the investigative actions and examinations, additional qualifications under Art. 307 of the Criminal Code, that is, the sale of drugs.
