Drugs in coffee bags — in the capital, police detained a drug dealer and seized drugs worth almost UAH 3 million

The range, which was implemented by the 18-year-old, included amphetamine, cannabis, Alpha PVP, ecstasy pills and a concentrated psychotropic “TNS”. He received prohibited goods through the mail, packaged and sold to customers in other areas of the state in various ways.

Operatives of the Metropolitan Department for Combating Drug Crimes together with the investigators of the Solomensky Police Department documented the illegal activities of an 18-year-old young man who set up the sale of drugs and psychotropic drugs in the state.

The defendant — a resident of the Svyatoshinsky district — ensured the functioning of an online store for the sale of prohibited substances, namely acted as a drug courier. He received drugs and psychotropics by mail, and then packaged and sold them to clients throughout the state.

Distributed “goods” both in small and wholesale lots by “bookmarks”, “from hand to hand”, through postal items and taxi services around the city. In order not to attract too much attention, the drug was hidden in coffee bags. The calculation was made through electronic wallets in foreign currency or cryptocurrency.

Yesterday, October 20, during another drug tranche near one of the post offices in Solomenskiy district, law enforcement officers detained the dealer.

During the inspection of the parcel and an urgent search of the premises, law enforcement officers found 3 kg of amphetamine, more than 2 kg of cannabis, 1.5 kg of “Alpha PVP”, pills “ecstasy” and other drugs.

In addition, scales, packaging materials, smoking devices, coffee bags were removed. The amount withdrawn at the prices of the “black” market is about three million hryvnias.

The defendant was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

He has already been informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For what has been committed, the detainee faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Currently, law enforcement agencies establish channels for the supply of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as other persons involved in the specified criminal activity.
