A group of drug dealers who sold drugs and psychotropic drugs through a messenger were detained in Zaporizhzhia
The group consisted of seven people, in particular the organizers of the “business” — civil spouses. Drugs and psychotropic substances were distributed by the offenders in the territory of seven cities.
Operatives of the territorial department for combating drug crime of DBN NPU together with the law enforcement officers of the GUNP in Zaporizhzhya region, investigators of the Kremenchug district police department in the Poltava region and under the procedural leadership of the Kremenchug District Prosecutor's Office exposed the drug group that was engaged in distribution of prohibited substances.
The group operated in the cities of: Zaporizhia, Berdyansk, Melitopol, Energodar, Volnyansk and Kirillovka. It consisted of seven people — residents of Zaporizhzhia. The drug business was organized by the civil couple, in particular, they created and administered the Telegram messenger channel selling cannabis, amphetamine and ecstasy pills. They sold narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances through “bookmarks”, which were carried in their own cars. To conspire their illegal activities, they constantly changed the numbers of vehicles. Money for the “goods” was received on electronic wallets. After payment, customers were sent photos of the location of the “bookmark” and its coordinates.
Yesterday, July 14, law enforcement officers with the strong support of a special purpose police battalion exposed all members of the group. Cannabis, ecstasy pills, LSD stamps, bank cards, car numbers, SIM cards and packaging materials were seized from the places of residence of the defendants and in their cars.
The organizers and another active participant were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of notifying all defendants of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the election of a preventive measure for them. Members of the group face up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
The activity of the online store for the sale of drugs and psychotropics is blocked.
