Investigators of the Mukachevo region police are conducting a pre-trial investigation into the fact of production and sale of COVID certificates with signs of forgery. These are express tests for COVID-19, which station employees sold to travelers for a fixed amount.

Transcarpathian police officers during operational measures stopped the falsification of code documents on the territory of the city of Mukachevo. We are talking about the facts of illegal sale of fake express tests with a negative result for COVID-19 on the territory of Mukachevo Bus Station. Customers were passengers of interregional and international traffic. The employees of the same station traded fake certificates.

It is known that the buyers did not undergo any medical examination, but received a forged document, for only 350 hryvnia.

Such actions were qualified by investigators under Part 3 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps, forms and their sale). In addition, law enforcement officers are currently identifying persons who managed to purchase and use a fake, because criminal liability is also provided for such actions. All other persons involved in the crime are also identified. They face up to 5 years in prison.
