In Volyn, three citizens tried to cross the border with fake vaccination certificates
On these facts, criminal proceedings were opened under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
On October 26, three men from Zhytomyr region at the Yagodin checkpoint, crossing the state border, showed international vaccination certificates with signs of forgery to border guards. Offenders are 43, 38 and 35 years old. The citizens intended to go to work.
Currently, criminal proceedings have been opened against men on the grounds of offenses provided for in Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Use of a knowingly forged document).
The police seized and sent for examination forged documents. Offenders will have to pay a court fee and a fine, which reaches up to 850 hryvnia. Also, men, in accordance with the sanction of the article, may be threatened with restriction of their will for a period of up to two years.
