In Volyn, investigators reported a suspicion of a hospital employee who forged Covid certificates

After the completion of the pre-trial investigation, criminal proceedings with an indictment are sent to court. The suspect faces, in particular, up to ten years in prison.

The offender worked as a software engineer in one of the hospitals in the Ratnivtsi region. Using his official position, the man entered false information about COVID-19 immunization into the medical electronic information system and forged vaccination certificates, which he later sold. The reward ranged from 1500 to 2000 hryvnias.

Today, his involvement in the commission of 18 such criminal offenses has been established.

The investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Kovel Prosecutor's Office, informed him of the suspicion of committing the crimes provided for in Part 3 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) and Part 1, 2 of Art. 361 (Unauthorized interference in the operation of electronic computers (computers), automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation is ongoing.
