In Mykolaiv region, operatives exposed a network for the distribution of drugs and psychotropics — the value of the seized batch is more than 3 million hryvnias
Two kilograms of mephedrone, “Alpha-PvP”, amphetamine, LSD brand, cannabis, more than 2000 ready-made bookmarks and paraphernalia for packing psychotropics were seized by police during a series of searches of drug dealers.
On July 6, the employees of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes in the Nikolaev area of the DBN NPU together with the investigators of the Nikolaev district police department, dog dog breeders with the support of special officers of the KORD department and under the procedural guidance of the Nikolaev district prosecutor's office conducted a special operation and exposed the criminal activity of three Nikolayevites of 32, 33 and 34 years, who sold narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in large quantities on the territory of the regional center through bookmarks.
As law enforcement officials found out, the attackers sorted the drugs into bookmarks and distributed in batches among small bookmakers who directly delivered the goods to consumers. Dealers used a payment system of electronic wallets, from which money was withdrawn to bank cards and transferred to cash. The monthly earnings of each of the defendants reached 300 thousand hryvnias.
The police conducted several sanctioned searches at the same time, during which they found more than two kilograms of mephedrone, Alpha-PvP, amphetamine, LSD brand, cannabis, more than 2000 ready-made bookmarks weighing more than 3.5 kg, as well as payment bank cards and mobile phones and accessories for the facade promotion of psychotropics. The value of the “black market” withdrawn at prices reaches 3 million hryvnias. Drugs and psychotropic substances were seized by law enforcement officers and sent for examination.
Two of the defendants were detained under the order of Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine, with respect to the third, procedural decisions are made.
With the support of the district prosecutor's office of Nikolaev, two offenders were informed of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 307 Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues”. The sanction of the article provides for up to ten years imprisonment with confiscation of property.
In the near future, the court will choose preventive measures for the defendants.
