The sanitary brigade of the Aviation System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has started duty in Lviv region — Arsen Avakov
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced that today, April 1, a brigade of the Aviation System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs entered the Lviv region on permanent duty. In addition to the flight crew, medics will be constantly on duty at the station.
This was made possible thanks to the implementation of a joint Ukrainian-French aviation contract with the company “Airbus Helicopters”.
“As promised with the Ministry of Health, today in Lviv region, within the framework of the Unified Aeromedical Space, an EC-145 helicopter with a medical module, which will provide emergency assistance to the population of six western regions, was put on duty. The composition includes a crew and a medical team. Next — Kyiv region and all Ukraine,” Arsen Avakov said.
According to the Minister, helicopters and aircraft of the Air Safety System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be operated by pilots who have already passed or are currently undergoing appropriate training. One of the main tasks of such a System is medical care, so that from point A to point B it is possible to safely transport a patient, a team of doctors, or an organ for transplantation. Earlier Arsen Avakov presented a map, where exactly 15 points of permanent base of the Aviation Security System will be located.
In all these 15 points, a flight change and a team of medics will alternate. They will be in constant combat readiness to fly to complete the task. One base point will cover a distance of 350 kilometers.
The aviation system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will deal not only with medical issues, but will also be involved in rescue operations and extinguishing fires. 57 Airbus helicopters - H145, large Super Puma and maneuverable H125, as well as domestic Mi-8 and Mi-2 helicopters will be on duty. In addition, Antonov and Diamond aircraft will be involved.
Recall, Arsen Avakov reported that on the joint initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health in Ukraine, the aeromedical evacuation system is being restored. In addition, on March 17, the helicopter of rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine transported the patient to the Heart Institute after transplantation.
Also, Arsen Avakov is a voice by the Ukrainian-French Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation, which, in addition to the helicopter project, deals with contracts for the joint production of high-altitude elevators for fire engines for
SSNS and patrol boats for the DPSU.
