In Lviv region, police rescued passengers of burning bus
Thanks to the skillful and determined actions of law enforcement officers, none of the 20 passengers of the Mercedes bus on the Stebnyk-Poznan connection, in which the engine compartment was occupied on the way, was injured.
Today, May 16, around 5:00 in the morning on the highway “Kyiv-Chop”, near the city of Nikolaev, during the service of the police crew of the patrol police response sector of the police department No. 2 of the Stryi district police department, noticed the bus “Mercedes”, from the engine compartment of which a flame was extinguished.
Law enforcement officers stopped the vehicle, evacuated 20 passengers, reported the incident to rescuers, took part in the elimination of the fire, helped to remove passengers' belongings and guarded the scene before the arrival of the emergency service personnel.
Thanks to the skillful and decisive actions of the police, there are no casualties as a result of the incident.
