In Cherkasy region, law enforcement officers seized more than three hundred bags of drugs from a man
The defendant was detained in procedural order and reported on suspicion of committing a crime.
On November 12, on Narbutivskaya Street in Cherkassy, policemen of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Cherkasy region together with the SBU and the Patrol Police Department documented the criminal activities of a previously convicted 33-year-old Cherkasy resident.
“During the search in the Daewoo Nexia car, law enforcement officers found a polymer package containing 368 plastic bags with narcotic substances and one plastic bag with amphetamine, weighing about 100 grams,” comments the head of the GUNP in the Cherkasy region, Mikhail Kuratchenko.
The investigators initiated criminal proceedings on this fact under Part 3 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, under the procedural guidance of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor's Office, the detainee has been notified of suspicion of committing an incriminated crime. The question of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention is being resolved.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
