The Minister of the Interior announced the creation of a European aviation security hub
During the presentation of priority directions and projects of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the head of the department announced the creation of a European aviation security hub.
“Last year we witnessed large-scale fires throughout Ukraine. Already this year we have seen similar fires in Turkey and Greece. Fortunately, we were able to send our rescuers there and help stop the disaster. Subsequently, the president and I came up with the idea of creating a European hub of aviation security,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, its creation involves, in particular, the construction of a Situational Monitoring Center, which will analyze satellite thermal images. The information received will make it possible to eliminate the element at an early stage. Thus, it will be possible to prevent up to 90% of fires by eliminating them by local forces.
“For the formation of an air hub, it is also necessary to increase the air fleet of the SNS, namely to double the number of AN-32P aircraft,” Denis Monastyrsky noted.
He added that it was possible to help other countries fight fires, including on a commercial basis.
Recall that by the end of 2023, helicopters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be on duty around the clock throughout the state
